These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Find Nearby app (“the App”).
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is operated by Find Nearby Ltd (“Find Nearby”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

2. About the App
Find Nearby is a mobile app designed to help users find public nearby places and related location-based information.
Features may include:
- nearby place search
- map display
- directions and navigation options
- Street View or similar preview features where available
- in-app credits
- referral features
- optional paid Find Nearby Pro subscriptions
The App is available internationally, but coverage, feature availability, data quality, supported searches, and supported regions vary by country, area, platform, device, language, and third-party data source.
Some features require an internet connection. Some features require location permission. Some features depend on third-party services which may be unavailable from time to time.
You may also search by place name without granting location permission.
3. Eligibility and Licence
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on a device you own or control.
We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.
4. Anonymous App Use
You do not need to create a traditional named account to use the App.
The App may create an anonymous identifier for your installation in order to support app functions such as:
- credits
- referrals
- fraud prevention
- restoration of certain app-related state where applicable
You are responsible for activity on your device and for keeping your device secure.
5. Find Nearby Pro Subscriptions
We may offer paid auto-renewing subscriptions for Find Nearby Pro.
Find Nearby Pro may include benefits such as:
- ad-free use
- all searches or features unlocked
- no credits needed for Pro-covered functionality
The exact Pro features available at any time are described in the App.
a) Subscription billing
If you subscribe to Find Nearby Pro:
- your subscription is billed by the relevant app store provider, such as Google Play or Apple
- subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal
- the price, billing period, currency, and renewal terms shown in the App or store purchase flow apply to your subscription
- monthly and yearly plans unlock the same Pro version unless we clearly state otherwise
b) Managing and cancelling subscriptions
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your app store account.
Cancelling prevents future renewal charges but does not usually refund the current subscription period unless the relevant store’s refund rules say otherwise.
c) Restoring purchases
If you reinstall the App or move to another eligible device using the same store account, you may be able to restore an active subscription using the App’s Restore purchases function.
d) Refunds
We do not directly process subscription refunds.
Refunds, billing disputes, chargebacks, and payment issues are handled by the platform through which you purchased the subscription, such as Google Play or Apple.
e) Changes to subscriptions
We may change subscription pricing, plan structure, territories, or availability in the future to the extent allowed by law and store rules.
If pricing changes apply to an existing subscription, notice and consent processes will be handled according to the relevant store’s rules and your local law.
f) Subscription availability
Find Nearby Pro may not be available in all countries, currencies, stores, or platforms at all times.
6. Credits
The App may include a credits system.
Credits may be earned through methods offered in the App, for example:
- rewarded ads
- referrals
- promotions
- other in-app actions we choose to support
Credits may be used to access certain in-app features.
Credits:
- have no cash value
- are not transferable
- are not redeemable for money
- are not a banked or stored-value product
- may be adjusted, removed, limited, or discontinued by us where reasonably necessary
We may change credit amounts, earning rules, and feature costs at any time.
We may correct obvious credit errors and may remove or reverse credits where we reasonably suspect abuse, fraud, manipulation, invalid ad activity, technical misuse, or policy violations.
Rewarded ads may be unavailable at times.
7. Referral Programme
The App may include an optional referral programme.
Where offered, referral rewards are subject to our verification rules and anti-abuse checks.
We may refuse, delay, reverse, or cancel referral rewards where we reasonably believe:
- the install was not genuine
- the referral was self-generated
- duplicate or repeated devices were used
- automation, spoofing, emulation, or manipulation was involved
- the referral flow was abused in any way
Displayed reward amounts, timers, counters, or UI messages are informational only. Our internal records control final reward decisions.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the App unlawfully
- misuse the App or any related service
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where the law clearly allows it
- scrape, copy, or bulk extract App data using automation
- interfere with security, billing, ads, referrals, credits, maps, routing, subscriptions, or analytics
- use bots, scripts, emulators, or fake installs to obtain credits, referrals, rewards, or subscription benefits
- attempt to bypass feature restrictions, payment flows, or ad flows
- use the App in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the App or connected systems
- engage in fraudulent ad interactions, including automated or incentivised clicks or views outside the App’s intended reward mechanisms
9. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy:

The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data.
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.
10. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on third-party services, including services used for:
- maps
- Street View imagery
- search and geocoding
- ads and consent tools
- analytics
- crash reporting and diagnostics
- anonymous app identification
- subscription and entitlement management
- app store billing
- referral and app logic infrastructure
These providers may include, depending on feature and platform:
- Google Maps
- Google Street View
- Google AdMob
- Unity Ads
- Google User Messaging Platform
- Google Analytics for Firebase
- Firebase services
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Qonversion
- OpenStreetMap-based data
- LocationIQ
- Google Play
- Apple App Store / Apple in-app purchase systems
Third-party services are governed by their own terms, conditions, and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
11. Data, Coverage, and Accuracy
The App uses third-party and community-sourced data.
Because of that:
- places may be missing
- place details may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date
- opening hours, accessibility details, names, and locations may be wrong
- Street View, maps, or routing may be unavailable or inaccurate
- coverage may vary significantly by country or region
You should independently verify anything important before relying on it.
Facilities may also be temporarily or permanently closed, moved, restricted, or changed without notice.
12. Safety
The App is provided for convenience only.
Do not use the App while driving or in any way that would distract you from the road, your surroundings, or your own safety.
Always follow:
- local laws
- road rules
- official signs
- on-site instructions
- accessibility guidance
- your own judgement
The App is not a substitute for emergency services, official navigation systems, on-site information, or common sense.
13. Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the App at any time.
We do not guarantee that the App, or any feature within it, will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We may release updates, patches, or changes at any time, and some features may stop working properly if you do not update the App.
14. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, branding, content, graphics, and compiled software, is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Open data, open-source components, and third-party materials remain subject to their own licences and attribution terms.
You do not acquire ownership of the App or any part of it by using it.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you agree that we may use them without restriction or payment to you.
15. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”.
We disclaim all warranties and representations, express or implied, including any implied warranties of:
- merchantability
- fitness for a particular purpose
- non-infringement
- availability
- accuracy
- reliability
We do not guarantee that:
- the App will meet your expectations
- the App will always be available
- data will be accurate or complete
- bugs will always be fixed
- search results will always appear
- subscriptions, ads, routing, Street View, or maps will always function without issue
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising from or related to your use of the App.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed:
- £20, or
- the amount you paid to us through the App in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim,
whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded.
17. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to all or part of the App if:
- you breach these Terms
- we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, or misuse
- we need to protect the App, other users, our partners, or our business
- we are required to do so by law or by a platform provider
Where appropriate, we may also reverse credits, referral rewards, or access to features gained through misuse or invalid activity.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
If you are a consumer, you may also have mandatory legal rights under the consumer laws of your country of residence.
19. Disputes
If you have a concern, please contact us first at info@findnearby.co.uk and we will try to resolve it informally.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the courts of Scotland will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in another court.
20. Platform Terms
Your use of the App is also subject to the rules, policies, and terms of the platform from which you downloaded it, including Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Where purchases are processed by a platform, that platform’s billing, renewal, cancellation, refund, and payment rules will apply.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and mandatory platform rules relating to billing, refunds, or store processes, the platform rules will apply to those matters.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may provide notice in the App or by updating the date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the App after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
